Alka Kalra (b. 1970)

Alka Kalra is a self-taught artist who holds an M.B.A. degree. She is passionate about exploring her potential for growth within the art world and sharing her knowledge with aspiring artists. Alka has been honored with several awards, including the Lalit Kala Academy Award in Chandigarh, the Annual Achievement Award by Gurukul Vidyapeeth Trust, and the won a web contest held by coldplay.com in 2010. She has participated in group shows, such as the Artscapes Annual Exhibition and the WE Annual Show, among others. Alka has conducted workshops for students and parents at The Times of India and government colleges. Her artwork is collected by prestigious institutions and private collectors in India and abroad, including Fortis Healthcare and Blessings Resort.

The artist currently lives and works in Punjab, India.
