Badri Narayan, a self-taught artist has dedicated over 45 years to his artistic journey. His paintings reveal a deep autobiographical perspective, emphasizing narrative elements. Influenced by Indian mythology and metaphors, he skillfully incorporates the essence of the Indian tradition into his creations. Badri Narayan’s artistic prowess has earned him recognitions in exhibitions worldwide, including the Asian Artists Exhibition in Tokyo (1957), Art Now in India in New Castle, England, and Ghent, Belgium (1966), and India Art Today in Darmstadt, West Germany (1982). He has represented India in significant events like the Biennales of Paris (1961) and the Biennale of Prints, Tokyo (1966-67). Notably, he received the Award of the Lalit Kala Akademi in 1965 for his captivating painting, ‘The Family.’
