Kaws (b. 1974)

Kaws is an American artist and designer, born Brian Donnelly, is known for his distinctive graffiti-style artwork featuring iconic characters like “Companion” and “Chum”. His work blurs the boundaries between fine art, design, and commercial production. He has collaborated with numerous artists and exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide. Kaws’ playful style has earned him a large following, and his work is sought after by art collectors. He has received many awards, including the 2017 “Designer of the Year” from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
