Ranjeet Singh Kurmi (b. 1970) is a full-time painter whose art reflects the vibrancy of urban life. A graduate of the Raheja School of Art and the Sir J.J. School of Arts, his work has evolved from non-figurative to figurative styles, drawing inspiration from the subtleties of city living. His paintings capture the essence of urban experiences, from the bustling streets to the quiet symbolism of a flower vase in a city apartment. Kurmi has exhibited extensively across India and internationally, including solo shows at Jehangir Art Gallery and group exhibitions in Singapore and the USA. His work has also been featured in prestigious auctions, including Sotheby’s New York.
The artist currently lives and works in Mumbai, India.
