Dr. Saloni Kulkarni-Patwardhan is a self-taught visual artist and orthopedic surgeon who explores a variety of media and materials in her artwork. In her multi-media series “Underneath Skin,” she engages with the bones and muscles she works with daily, revealing the beauty and complexity of the human body. Saloni’s current favorite medium is fiberglass, often used in orthopedic casts. Her unique perspective and artistic practice reflect her deep appreciation for both art and the human form.
