Yashwant Deshmukh (b. 1963)
Yashwant Deshmukh is a highly accomplished artist whose unique style incorporates abstract and figurative elements to create powerful artworks that challenge and inspire viewers. His use of bold, vibrant colors and sweeping brushstrokes conveys dynamic energy, while his use of negative space and geometric shapes creates balance and harmony. His works often incorporate symbolism and metaphor, inviting viewers to engage with his pieces on multiple levels. Jehangir Art Gallery and Bombay Art Gallery have hosted his solo exhibitions, including “Regarding the Cone” and “Circling the Mountain of Light” in 2008. He has also exhibited in various group shows, such as “Vicissitudes of the Constructed Image” at Tangerine Art Space, New Delhi, in 2008.
